据英国《太阳报》报导
爱尔兰偶像团体“男孩地带”(Boyzone)
主唱之一的史蒂芬(Stephen Gately)
在西班牙马约卡岛(Majorca)度假时猝死，终年仅33岁。

“今日新闻”援引该报报导说
33岁的史蒂芬平常很少喝酒
但10日当晚他在西班牙马约卡岛的一家同志酒吧里
跟他的同志爱人安迪(Andy Cowles)喝到“烂醉如泥”
据现场目击者说，他们两人鸡尾酒、白酒的轮流猛灌
最后才带着一名25岁的保加利亚男孩达契夫
回到他们的千万豪宅里，继续再喝！
凌晨五点多时，安迪回房睡觉
史蒂芬则睡在客厅的沙发
第二天早上安迪起来时发现
史蒂芬以奇怪的“祈祷者”的姿态半蹲在地上
头埋在沙发上的枕头里，已经气绝身亡
警方分析，他应是被自己的呕吐物噎死。
